In California, Stepping Stone of San Diego Inc. provides holistic substance abuse treatment and recovery services to the LGTB Community struggling with addiction. Stepping Stone is a nonprofit agency and offers gays, lesbians, transgender and bisexual individuals the individual help they need to free themselves from substance use.

Alcohol and drug addiction recovery services provided by Stepping Stone also includes individualized co-occurring disorder treatment for dual diagnosed clients. At Stepping Stone of San Diego substance abuse treatment can be obtained in an outpatient and residential setting, their services also include transitional living and aftercare.
