Who Answers?
Question: I have a daughter living in Indiana. I have heard from others and have talked to her when I thought she was drunk or doing drugs. She is homeless right now, staying with some friend who is using her to get money-which I supplied thinking it was going to be used to get herself an apartment. Within 48 hours she went through $250! She called and I could not understand her-her slurred her words and this makes many times now in the last few months. I am not sure of the insurance, but know she should be receiving Medicaid. I have her 99% ready to come to North Ridgeville, but she has some "junky" furniture and a cat she insists on bringing. I personally feel it is time to let go of the past and leave it there. She admitted that she had to "hussle" to get money the other day. That is the bottom -I am a follower of Christ and that remark really hit me below the belt. My thoughts-she was/did not really do it-trying to get mom to feel guilty and send more money! I have spoken to a few "friends" out there and they all say they think she is doing drugs and know she is drinking. The story is longer than long, bottom line, I have questions!
1. Should I bring her here and have her admitted there?
2. Can she apply for Ohio Medicaid while she is in there?
3. Should I tell her where she is heading when she leaves Indiana?
4. How can I be sure?
5. Are there signs I can watch for?
